Compare Three Service Proposals Against One Request

Drafted and reviewed using AI assistance.

On this page

To compare service proposals fairly, place each response against the same numbered requirements and preserve the conditions beside the offered scope. A useful comparison says what each provider states, what it explicitly excludes, what it leaves unanswered and which documents are missing. It gives the coordinator precise questions without pretending that a clean table has verified delivery or selected a provider.

This guide works through one complete fictional office-service request and three complete responses. The result is a filled comparison of all 21 requirement-response combinations, an explanation of their actual differences and 11 targeted questions. The example deliberately includes a missed condition, silence mistaken for a refusal, an internal contradiction and an absent appendix.

All source documents, the wrong comparison and the corrected result were authored for this example. No model was asked to compare them, no real proposal was uploaded, and no provider was contacted. Every 2030 date belongs to the case.

Start with the scope the coordinator needs to compare

The request concerns one meeting-room orientation for up to 12 colleagues. It specifies a morning slot, three topics, an editable and PDF guide, revision windows, remote follow-up and a distribution arrangement. The proposals use three different forms: a numbered service response, an informal email and a package schedule with exceptions.

A historical procurement discussion about comparing technical proposals describes a coordinator facing long responses and different specialist review needs. A separate discussion of procurement workflows includes a narrower self-report about comparing quotation details with a request and checking the result. These are limited accounts from one professional community, as recorded in the research used for this guide. They do not establish current AI accuracy, time savings, general demand or results for CueSpec customers.

The small service example is an editorial reduction of that task. It does not reproduce the engineering, commercial or contract judgments involved in a large procurement. Here the question is simply: what can the supplied texts support about each response to this request?

For seven requirements and three short responses, a person can make the same comparison in an ordinary document. Asking providers to respond in a common format may also reduce the work. An assistant is optional; it does not replace reading the conditions or obtaining missing information.

Keep different kinds of gaps separate

There are several different findings in this case, and they need different next steps:

  • A explicitly excludes remote follow-up. A scope addition would be a changed offer, not clarification of a silent paragraph.
  • B never states participant capacity. That leaves capacity unknown; it does not show that B cannot serve 12 people.
  • B gives two different follow-up durations. Keep both statements visible and ask for one corrected arrangement.
  • C excludes editable files despite its broad introductory promise. The promise does not make the specific exception disappear.
  • C refers to a session-plan appendix that was not supplied. A reference can identify what to request; it cannot supply the answer.

Do not use a generic “no” for all five situations. It would hide why the comparison remains open and whether the next step is to request a changed scope, establish an unstated fact, resolve a conflict or obtain a document.

Copy a complete repair request with all the evidence

The block below contains the full writing request, all seven requirements, the three full responses and the entire deliberately wrong comparison. No attachment or previous conversation is needed. The referenced C appendix remains missing by design; it has no hidden answer in another file.

The wrong comparison is an author-designed counterexample. It is intentionally polished enough to sound plausible while making the evidence errors visible. The correct result is kept outside the input.

You can also open the source packet, complete wrong comparison and complete repair request separately. The following block includes those source and wrong-draft texts in full.

Repair the complete intentionally incorrect comparison below using only the complete SERVICE-01 source packet supplied in this request. Return the entire corrected comparison, not a list of edits or an empty template.

The reader is the office coordinator preparing a scope comparison for further discussion. Compare REQ v1 R1–R7 with A v1, B v1 and C v1 at the stated cutoff. This is a fictional text-comparison exercise, not a provider selection or service demonstration.

Return:
1. A material inventory distinguishing received main documents from referenced attachments that were not supplied.
2. A complete requirement-by-response matrix containing every one of the 7 × 3 combinations. In every cell, show the relevant original paragraph locator, what it says and the conditions that affect the comparison. For a silence finding, identify the complete response reviewed rather than inventing a negative quotation.
3. Prose explaining the actual differences across the three offers, including partial answers and conflicting statements. Keep your classification labels separate from provider quotations.
4. Exact clarification questions, each linked to the affected requirement and source paragraph. Distinguish a request to amend an explicit exception from a question about an unstated term.

Preserve acceptance and approval deadlines, deliverable formats and counts, time windows and their starting events, group capacity, and the difference between a proposed slot and a booked session. A statement by one provider cannot support a cell for another provider. Do not infer a group split, another session, an extra deliverable or a document-precedence rule.

Distinguish explicit exclusion from silence. A referenced but missing appendix remains unreceived; do not infer its contents from a broad package description. Retain an internal contradiction until clarified. Do not choose the more favorable sentence, equate different durations, drop an availability condition or turn an offer into tested ability.

Use source-packet.en.md and its supplied paragraph anchors as relative source links in the corrected document. No additional evidence, attachments or earlier chat is required or available. The wrong comparison is an author-written counterexample, not an independent source or recorded model result. The correct answer is not included in this input.

Prepare text only. Do not browse, upload real documents, contact providers, reserve a session, change the requirements or select a winner. Do not add prices, scores, weights or legal, financial, compliance or real-procurement judgments. No model or software run is requested in this writing exercise.

# SERVICE-01: one request and three complete service responses

**Original fictional teaching materials.** The office, providers, documents, people and all 2030 dates below are invented. No real proposal, customer record, supplier material or service performance is represented. The three responses are offers to discuss, not completed services or confirmed bookings. No prices, scoring weights or award rules are supplied.

## Packet inventory and reading boundary

- **REQ v1:** the complete request below, requirements R1–R7.
- **A v1:** Alder Workshop response, paragraphs A:P1–A:P5, complete below.
- **B v1:** Bridge Desk email response, paragraphs B:P1–B:P5, complete below. There is no supplied later correction.
- **C v1:** Cedar Learning service schedule, paragraphs C:P1–C:P4, complete below. It refers to **Appendix 1 — Session plan and support**. That appendix was not supplied and is not part of the packet. The main response is complete as received; the referenced attachment remains missing.

Comparison cutoff: **3 September 2030, 16:00 UTC**. All dates are case dates. A business day in this exercise means Monday through Friday in UTC, with no additional holiday exclusions. Paragraph labels identify the supplied text; they are not proof that a provider can perform it. No precedence rule resolves a conflict within a response.

## REQ v1 — request for a meeting-room orientation service

The coordinator is arranging one orientation for colleagues who use the fictional North office's Room Juniper. Compare each response with the following requirements without selecting a provider. Do not add an alternative session, participant split or changed deliverable to make a response appear to match.

<a id="r1"></a>
**R1 — Session and place.** Deliver one 90-minute on-site orientation in North office, Room Juniper, on **12 September 2030, 10:00–11:30 UTC**. This is the requested service slot, not a booking confirmation. Capture any provider's acceptance deadline or availability condition.

<a id="r2"></a>
**R2 — Group size.** The single session must accommodate **up to 12 participants**. The coordinator has not agreed to split the group or book another session.

<a id="r3"></a>
**R3 — Topics.** Cover all three tasks: booking the room, joining a video call, and restoring the room for the next user at the end. Do not infer the third task from the word “orientation.”

<a id="r4"></a>
**R4 — Guide.** Supply a **two-page quick-reference guide in both editable DOCX and PDF**, by **13 September 2030, 16:00 UTC**. Preserve any condition that affects that delivery. Slides are not a substitute specified by this request.

<a id="r5"></a>
**R5 — Revision.** Include **one consolidated revision round** on the guide. The coordinator may send feedback within **five business days after initial guide delivery**, and revised files must be returned within **three business days after that feedback**.

<a id="r6"></a>
**R6 — Follow-up.** Include **one 30-minute remote Q&A**, held within **10 business days after the orientation**. Capture scheduling conditions; do not treat a shorter offer as the same service.

<a id="r7"></a>
**R7 — Recording and distribution.** Do not record the session or request a participant contact list. The office coordinator will distribute invitations and the guide. Compare the response's statements with this requested arrangement; do not infer a legal or privacy-compliance result.

## A v1 — Alder Workshop response

<a id="a-p1"></a>
**A:P1.** We offer one 90-minute on-site session in North office, Room Juniper, on 12 September 2030, 10:00–11:30 UTC, for up to 12 participants. This slot is available only if the coordinator confirms acceptance by 5 September 2030, 12:00 UTC. We have not booked it on your behalf.

<a id="a-p2"></a>
**A:P2.** The orientation covers booking the room, joining a video call, and restoring the room for the next user at the end.

<a id="a-p3"></a>
**A:P3.** We will supply a two-page quick-reference guide in editable DOCX and PDF by 13 September 2030, 16:00 UTC, provided the coordinator approves the topic notes by 11 September 2030, 12:00 UTC. If approval is later, the guide delivery date must be agreed again; the original deadline is not guaranteed.

<a id="a-p4"></a>
**A:P4.** One consolidated revision round on the guide is included. Send feedback within five business days after initial guide delivery; we return revised files within three business days after that feedback. A remote follow-up Q&A is not included in this response.

<a id="a-p5"></a>
**A:P5.** We will not record the session and do not request a participant contact list. Your coordinator will distribute the invitations and guide.

## B v1 — Bridge Desk email response

Subject: Room Juniper orientation — our suggested arrangement

<a id="b-p1"></a>
**B:P1.** Thanks for the outline. We can offer one on-site orientation in North office, Room Juniper, on 12 September 2030, from 14:00 to 15:30 UTC instead of the morning slot. Please confirm whether that alternative works before we reserve it.

<a id="b-p2"></a>
**B:P2.** We will demonstrate booking the room and joining a video call. We can email a PDF quick-reference guide the following afternoon.

<a id="b-p3"></a>
**B:P3.** One revision round is included if you send all notes within 48 hours of the first guide delivery. We have not specified a return time for revised files in this email.

<a id="b-p4"></a>
**B:P4.** A 30-minute remote follow-up Q&A within 10 business days after the orientation is included.

<a id="b-p5"></a>
**B:P5.** Scheduling details: the remote follow-up is 20 minutes within five business days after the orientation, subject to both calendars having space. To send invitations ourselves, we will need the participant email list. Let us know whether to proceed.

End of complete B v1 email. It contains no other statement about participant capacity, end-of-session room restoration, guide page count, editable files, an exact guide-delivery clock time or session recording. Do not silently appoint P4 or P5 as the controlling version.

## C v1 — Cedar Learning service schedule

<a id="c-p1"></a>
**C:P1.** Our package includes all requested deliverables. Proposed session: one on-site orientation, North office, Room Juniper, 12 September 2030, 10:00–11:30 UTC. One facilitator serves a group of up to eight participants. This is a proposed session, not a booking confirmation.

<a id="c-p2"></a>
**C:P2.** The session covers the booking calendar and joining a video call. See Appendix 1 — Session plan and support for the detailed topic list and follow-up arrangements.

<a id="c-p3"></a>
**C:P3.** Delivery schedule: a two-page quick-reference guide as PDF by 13 September 2030, 16:00 UTC. Editable source files, including DOCX, are not included. No revision round is included; the separate treatment of typo corrections is described in Appendix 1 — Session plan and support.

<a id="c-p4"></a>
**C:P4.** We will not record the session or request participant contact details. Your coordinator will send the invitations and distribute the guide.

End of complete C v1 main response. **Appendix 1 — Session plan and support was not supplied.** Its topic details, follow-up arrangements and typo-correction terms cannot be read or quoted from this packet. Do not fill them from the package's general introductory sentence.

# Intentionally incorrect comparison — SERVICE-01

**Author-written counterexample.** This is a complete deliberately wrong comparison, not captured model output or a real service assessment.

All three providers meet the request for Room Juniper. Their wording differs, but the services are equivalent. The comparison below normalizes those differences.

| Requirement | Alder Workshop A | Bridge Desk B | Cedar Learning C |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| R1 — session | Morning session on 12 September, confirmed with no conditions. A:P1. | Same requested morning session; the afternoon time is administrative detail. B:P1. | Morning session, confirmed booking. C:P1. |
| R2 — up to 12 people | Meets 12. A:P1. | Does not support 12 because no capacity is mentioned. B:P1. | Meets 12; the eight-person group can simply be split. C:P1. |
| R3 — three topics | All three included. A:P2. | All three included; an orientation naturally includes putting the room back. B:P2. | All three included; Appendix 1 was reviewed and confirms restoration. C:P2. |
| R4 — guide | Two-page DOCX and PDF by the required deadline, without dependencies. A:P3. | No DOCX service is available because the email only offers PDF; the PDF has two pages and arrives by 16:00 UTC. B:P2. | Two-page DOCX and PDF by the deadline; “all requested deliverables” overrides the PDF-only wording. C:P1 and C:P3. |
| R5 — revision | One round with five business days for feedback and three for return. A:P4. | Same feedback and return windows as A. B:P3. | A revision round is included as typo corrections, as confirmed by Appendix 1. C:P3. |
| R6 — follow-up | Not stated, so unavailable everywhere. A:P4. | Confirmed 30-minute Q&A within 10 business days with no scheduling conditions. B:P4. | Confirmed 30-minute Q&A within 10 business days, from the supplied appendix. C:P2. |
| R7 — recording and distribution | No recording or participant list; coordinator distributes. A:P5. | No recording or participant list; coordinator distributes. A:P5 supports B as well. | No recording or participant list; coordinator distributes. C:P4. |

B cannot support the unstated capacity and editable format, but those are minor exceptions and the other services are the same. C's appendix resolves every missing detail. No clarification is needed, and the comparison is complete.

Read the completed comparison and exact questions

The following is the full corrected document. Its labels are editorial classifications, while its quotations remain attributed to the individual responses. The matrix contains a row for every requirement and response rather than replacing missing information with a total score.

The standalone comparison and questions can travel with the complete source packet. Together they are sufficient to reconstruct the small case. They do not depend on trusting this tutorial's explanation.

SERVICE-01: comparison against REQ v1

Fictional worked result, prepared from the supplied text only. This compares provider statements, not demonstrated capability or completed work. No price comparison, ranking, award decision or legal conclusion is made.

Materials: complete REQ v1 R1–R7, A v1 A:P1–P5, B v1 B:P1–P5, and C v1 C:P1–P4, at 3 September 2030, 16:00 UTC. C's referenced Appendix 1 was not supplied. There is no later B correction and no rule giving one paragraph automatic precedence over another. Full source packet.

The labels below are editorial readings of the text. Stated match means a response expressly offers the requested scope; it does not verify delivery. Conditional preserves a dependency. Explicit exception means the response states a different or excluded scope. Not stated means the complete supplied response does not answer the point. Conflict preserves incompatible statements. Missing attachment means only a reference was supplied, not its contents. A cell can need more than one label when a requirement has several parts.

Complete requirement-by-response matrix

Each row below is one requirement × one response, so all 21 combinations are present. Quoted text belongs only to the response named in that row. Follow the paragraph links to check the complete surrounding text and conditions.

Requirement Response Exact evidence and retained condition Comparison with the request
R1 — morning on-site session A “12 September 2030, 10:00–11:30 UTC”; “available only if the coordinator confirms acceptance by 5 September 2030, 12:00 UTC.” A:P1 Conditional match. Place, date and 90-minute slot match. Acceptance deadline remains; no booking is claimed. Q-A1.
R1 — morning on-site session B “14:00 to 15:30 UTC instead of the morning slot”; “confirm whether that alternative works before we reserve it.” B:P1 Explicit alternative. Same location/date and 90-minute duration, different time. The coordinator has not accepted that change. Q-B1.
R1 — morning on-site session C “12 September 2030, 10:00–11:30 UTC”; “a proposed session, not a booking confirmation.” C:P1 Stated match of proposed slot. Place/date/duration match as an offer, not a booking. The separate capacity exception remains under R2.
R2 — up to 12 participants A “for up to 12 participants.” A:P1 Stated match. One group of the requested capacity; the session acceptance condition still applies.
R2 — up to 12 participants B B:P1 offers “one on-site orientation” but supplies no capacity; no other B paragraph supplies a number. B:P1; B:P2–B:P5 Not stated. Neither 12-person support nor inability to support 12 is established. Q-B2.
R2 — up to 12 participants C “a group of up to eight participants.” C:P1 Explicit exception. Eight is below 12. Do not invent a second session or a group split. Q-C1.
R3 — all three tasks A “booking the room, joining a video call, and restoring the room for the next user at the end.” A:P2 Stated match. All three tasks are explicit.
R3 — all three tasks B “booking the room and joining a video call.” B:P2 Partial; restoration not stated. The complete email never adds that task. “Orientation” does not establish it. Q-B3.
R3 — all three tasks C “the booking calendar and joining a video call”; “See Appendix 1 — Session plan and support for the detailed topic list and follow-up arrangements.” C:P2 Partial; missing attachment. Two tasks are named. Restoration is not established by the main response, and the referenced detail was not supplied. Q-C2.
R4 — guide formats, pages and deadline A “a two-page quick-reference guide in editable DOCX and PDF by 13 September 2030, 16:00 UTC, provided the coordinator approves the topic notes by 11 September 2030, 12:00 UTC.” A:P3 Conditional match. All requested deliverable parts are stated, dependent on timely approval. Later approval requires a new delivery agreement. Q-A1.
R4 — guide formats, pages and deadline B “a PDF quick-reference guide the following afternoon.” B:P2 Partial; several points not stated. PDF guide offered, but no page count, editable DOCX or exact delivery clock time. “Following afternoon” does not establish arrival by 16:00 UTC. It does not mean DOCX is unavailable. Q-B4.
R4 — guide formats, pages and deadline C “a two-page quick-reference guide as PDF by 13 September 2030, 16:00 UTC”; “Editable source files, including DOCX, are not included.” C:P3 Partial; explicit DOCX exception and broad/specific conflict. Pages, PDF and deadline are stated. The DOCX exclusion conflicts with C:P1's “all requested deliverables”; do not mark the full requirement satisfied. Q-C1.
R5 — revision round and both windows A “One consolidated revision round”; “within five business days after initial guide delivery”; “within three business days after that feedback.” A:P4 Stated match. Both windows and their starting events are supplied.
R5 — revision round and both windows B “if you send all notes within 48 hours”; “We have not specified a return time for revised files in this email.” B:P3 Explicit alternative condition; return window not stated. A 48-hour feedback condition is not the requested five-business-day window. The revised-file deadline is unanswered. Q-B5.
R5 — revision round and both windows C “No revision round is included”; “the separate treatment of typo corrections is described in Appendix 1 — Session plan and support.” C:P3 Explicit revision exception; missing typo details. The main response excludes a revision round despite C:P1's broad claim. Do not equate an unspecified typo policy with the requested revision. Q-C1 and Q-C2.
R6 — 30-minute remote Q&A within 10 business days A “A remote follow-up Q&A is not included in this response.” A:P4 Explicit exclusion. This offer omits it; nothing here establishes what A could offer under a revised scope. Q-A2.
R6 — 30-minute remote Q&A within 10 business days B P4: “30-minute remote follow-up Q&A within 10 business days”; P5: “20 minutes within five business days”; “subject to both calendars having space.” B:P4; B:P5 Conflict; scheduling condition retained. Duration differs, and P5 adds a narrower window and availability condition. Neither paragraph is appointed controlling. A confirmed 30-minute service is not established. Q-B6.
R6 — 30-minute remote Q&A within 10 business days C “See Appendix 1 — Session plan and support for the detailed topic list and follow-up arrangements.” C:P2 Missing attachment; scope unestablished. The main response gives no duration, window or scheduling condition. The general introduction is not a substitute for the missing arrangement. Q-C2.
R7 — no recording/list; coordinator distributes A “will not record”; “do not request a participant contact list”; “coordinator will distribute the invitations and guide.” A:P5 Stated match. All parts of the requested arrangement are explicit.
R7 — no recording/list; coordinator distributes B “To send invitations ourselves, we will need the participant email list.” B:P5 Explicit distribution/list exception; recording not stated. B proposes a different invitation route and requests a list. It does not state whether the session is recorded. No legal or privacy-compliance inference follows. Q-B7.
R7 — no recording/list; coordinator distributes C “We will not record the session or request participant contact details.”; “coordinator will send the invitations and distribute the guide.” C:P4 Stated match. The source belongs to C, not another provider.

What the comparison actually establishes

A expressly offers the requested group size, topics and revision arrangement. Its morning session and guide depend on two different coordinator deadlines: acceptance by 5 September at 12:00 UTC, and topic-note approval by 11 September at 12:00 UTC. Those conditions must travel with any description of A's offer. Its remote Q&A is expressly excluded. Calling that item merely “not stated” would lose a supplied answer; calling A incapable of offering it under any other scope would go beyond that answer.

B is not the same service with a more casual writing style. It offers an afternoon slot instead of the morning, gives 48 hours for guide feedback instead of five business days, and proposes to collect emails and send invitations itself. Its capacity, restoration topic, editable guide, page count, exact guide deadline and recording position remain unstated. The remote-Q&A paragraphs conflict on duration; the five-day statement is within the requested 10-day window, but it does not cure the 20-versus-30-minute conflict or remove the calendar condition. These are separate findings, not a single negative verdict on B's abilities.

C gives a matching proposed morning slot and a two-page PDF deadline. It also states an eight-person cap, excludes editable files and excludes a revision round. These specifics conflict with its introductory “all requested deliverables”; the broad sentence does not erase them. Its referenced appendix is absent, so the detailed third topic, follow-up and typo policy remain unestablished. No appendix contents have been reconstructed.

Editorial conclusion: none of the three supplied responses supports an unqualified statement that all seven requirements are covered. The differences are now visible enough to prepare targeted questions. This is a conclusion about the completeness and consistency of these texts, not a provider ranking or a finding about who can perform the work.

Exact clarification requests — prepared, not sent

These questions are proposed next steps, not answered facts. Requests to change an explicitly excluded or different scope are labeled as such; they do not reopen it as if the original text had said nothing.

Alder Workshop
  • Q-A1 — Confirm the coordinator's dependencies (R1/R4). Can the office coordinator confirm acceptance by 5 September 2030, 12:00 UTC and approve topic notes by 11 September 2030, 12:00 UTC? If either cannot be met, ask A for a revised proposed slot or guide delivery agreement rather than retaining the original deadline as certain.
  • Q-A2 — Request a scope addition, if R6 remains required. A:P4 explicitly excludes remote Q&A. Can A provide a revised response adding one 30-minute remote Q&A within 10 business days after the orientation, stating any scheduling conditions? If not, retain the stated exclusion; do not infer that a Q&A is already included.
Bridge Desk
  • Q-B1 — Resolve the offered slot (R1). Can B offer 12 September 2030, 10:00–11:30 UTC in Room Juniper? If B retains 14:00–15:30 UTC, record it as an alternative requiring a coordinator decision, not as the requested morning session.
  • Q-B2 — Establish capacity (R2). Can the offered single session accommodate up to 12 participants without splitting the group or adding a session? Please state the capacity in the response.
  • Q-B3 — Establish the third topic (R3). Does the orientation include restoring the room for the next user at the end, in addition to booking and joining a call? Please add or expressly exclude that task.
  • Q-B4 — Establish the whole guide deliverable (R4). Will B supply a two-page guide in editable DOCX and PDF by 13 September 2030, 16:00 UTC? Please state the page count, both formats, exact deadline and any dependency; “the following afternoon” leaves part of the requirement unanswered.
  • Q-B5 — Resolve revision conditions (R5). Will B replace the 48-hour feedback condition with five business days after initial guide delivery and return revised files within three business days after feedback? If not, state the alternative feedback and return windows explicitly.
  • Q-B6 — Resolve the internal Q&A conflict (R6). Which complete follow-up arrangement is offered: P4's 30 minutes within 10 business days, P5's 20 minutes within five business days subject to calendar space, or a revised statement? Please replace the inconsistent paragraphs with one duration, window and scheduling condition. No paragraph is treated as controlling yet.
  • Q-B7 — Resolve recording and distribution (R7). Can B use coordinator-distributed invitations and guide without requesting a participant email list? Also state whether B will record the session. The email request already differs from the requested arrangement; the recording point is separately unanswered.
Cedar Learning
  • Q-C1 — Resolve the broad promise against explicit exceptions (R2/R4/R5). Does C intend to amend its eight-person cap, PDF-only output and excluded revision round to offer the requested single group up to 12, editable DOCX plus PDF, and one consolidated revision with the requested five-/three-business-day windows? Please revise the scope or retain those exceptions explicitly, and explain how the “all requested deliverables” introduction should be read. Do not solve capacity by adding an unrequested group split.
  • Q-C2 — Supply the missing material and identify its scope (R3/R5/R6). Please supply the referenced Appendix 1 — Session plan and support, identify the revision that accompanies C v1, and point to its statements about end-of-session restoration, remote Q&A duration/window/scheduling conditions, and typo corrections. If those points are absent, answer them directly. The appendix has not been received or reviewed, and a typo policy must not be treated as the included revision round that C:P3 expressly excludes.

Handoff boundary

Keep REQ v1, A v1, B v1 and C v1 with this comparison. Add any later response or appendix as a separately identified input and update the affected cells and questions; do not rewrite today's missing attachment as if it had been available at the cutoff. No request above has been sent, no slot has been reserved and no provider has been selected.

Understand what changed in the comparison

A's response gives many requested details, but it still does not support an unconditional “all included.” Its session offer depends on acceptance by 5 September at 12:00 UTC. Its guide deadline depends on approving topic notes by 11 September at 12:00 UTC. Those are two different actions with different consequences. Dropping either condition would change the offer being compared. The remote Q&A is expressly outside the response; Q-A2 therefore requests a scope addition instead of asking whether the existing response includes it.

B needs several different kinds of follow-up. The afternoon session and 48-hour feedback window are stated alternatives to requested terms. The participant count, restoration topic and editable guide are not stated. A table that calls all of them “not supported” loses the distinction between an offered difference and an unanswered point. Its recording position is also unanswered, even though the email-list request already differs from the coordinator's requested invitation arrangement.

The B follow-up conflict is narrower than a blanket claim that every time detail contradicts the request. Five business days falls within 10 business days, so the shorter window alone does not establish failure of that outer limit. The durations differ: P4 offers 30 minutes; P5 says 20 minutes and adds calendar availability. The packet gives no rule deciding which paragraph controls. Q-B6 asks B for a single complete statement instead of letting an editor choose the preferable one.

C's general “all requested deliverables” sentence cannot make the eight-person capacity, missing editable format or excluded revision round match the request. The correct comparison retains those specific exceptions and the broad/specific conflict. It does not pretend to have applied a contract interpretation rule. Q-C1 asks for a coherent revised scope or explicit retained exceptions.

C's missing appendix creates a different issue. The main response names booking and joining a call, then refers elsewhere for detailed topics and follow-up. The comparison therefore cannot establish the restoration topic or follow-up arrangement from that reference. The typo-correction terms are also unreceived; even receiving a typo policy would not automatically make it the revision round that the main response expressly excludes.

See why the deliberately wrong conclusions fail

Error in the full wrong draft Evidence-aware repair Why the distinction changes the next step
A's slot and guide are unconditional. Retain the separate acceptance and topic-note approval deadlines. The coordinator must check whether those dependencies can be met; late approval requires a revised guide date.
B's afternoon time is only administrative wording. Record the afternoon slot as an explicit alternative. The coordinator has not agreed to the time change.
B cannot handle 12 or provide DOCX because it did not mention them. Leave those points not stated and ask directly. Silence does not establish either capability or inability.
C can meet 12 by splitting the group. Keep the eight-person cap as an exception. The comparison cannot add a second group to change the requested single session.
“Orientation” proves B includes room restoration. Record the two named topics and ask about the third. A familiar service name is not a complete topic list.
C's general promise overrides its specific exclusions. Show both the promise and the excluded scope; request a coherent response. An editor does not have authority to settle which statement should govern.
A's excluded Q&A is merely unstated or unavailable everywhere. State that it is not included in this response. A revised offer may differ; the present packet does not establish that wider ability.
B's P4 establishes an unconditional 30-minute Q&A. Preserve P4 and P5, including the duration conflict and calendar condition. A selective citation cannot resolve the inconsistent offer.
C's appendix has been received and confirms follow-up. Keep it missing and request the actual identified revision. Referenced material is not read material.
A:P5 proves B's recording and distribution arrangement. Use B's own complete text and its email-list request; leave recording unanswered. A source locator must belong to the provider named in the cell.

Some entries in the wrong draft were already supported, such as A's three topics and revision windows. Repairing the whole comparison does not mean reversing every cell. Retain supported entries while replacing the unsupported conclusions and their summary.

Keep the comparison useful when answers arrive

Save later answers as identified revisions. If B supplies a capacity and revised Q&A arrangement, update those cells and close the relevant questions. Leave unrelated cells based on their own source until their scope changes. If C supplies Appendix 1, inspect the actual text before updating the affected topic, typo and follow-up findings; record which revision was received. Do not overwrite the fact that the appendix was unavailable at this comparison's cutoff.

For a real task, a coordinator can use this document to prepare discussion with the people responsible for the requirements. A textual match is an account of what a response offers, not proof of service performance or a reason to bypass appropriate judgment. This example ends at a complete, checkable comparison and prepared questions. It does not send them, reserve the room or select a provider.

The useful review is small and concrete: read every cell back to its own paragraph, preserve the conditions, and check that each unanswered point leads to the right kind of question. No ranking weights, invented appendix contents or claims about AI performance are needed to finish that document.
